Created in 1855, the UCJG is the French branch of the YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association), an international youth hostel network and social centers that became famous thanks to the song of the 70's.
Through our services and actions, the UCJG strives to build personal satisfaction and individual autonomy, and to spread the ideas of freedom, responsibility, and service to others. We work on various social themes, from promoting vacations for all, to developing education, training, and employment in the community.
With 22 local YMCAs and along with 130 other national federations, we are part of the YMCA World Alliance.
The UCJG national alliance is recognized by the French Youth and Sports Minister as an association of public utility since 1948, and has the tourism certification n° 075 96 0021 since 1979.
